Black Desert Online is Going Into The Freezer!

If you’ve followed my blog in any kind of capacity over the last 20 years you’ll know that I can’t resist a good RPG.

Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 sucked practically all my time out of me, and Diablo 3 is like the bit of the ground around the wagon that I keep falling onto.

I decided I needed a new RPG and after trying a number of them last week I decided to opt for Black Desert Online. I had bought it cheaply in a Steam sale so you know? Might as well.

After struggling for at least two hours trying to understand the damned thing – something bad happened.  I realised the game had everything I wanted and most importantly of all, I wanted to do all that everything.

I wanted to link skills together like a demon SFV player; I wanted to buy and sell alongside running my own worker empire (and I mean empire, nothing will stop me, nothing!); I wanted to trade like Loadsamoney; I wanted to talk to everyone (and everything?) and I wanted to read all the lore.

What I didn’t want was to go to bed, ever.

I realised I was falling in, and there would be no return for 2000 hours.

This game is brilliant. Hard to get into yes, but brilliant none-the-less.

And so, it is with great regret, I have to put it in The Freezer

I am scared of it.

Cheers, Leeram.
