Aero City
Just look at my lovely, let’s say well used, Aero City.
It really needs a respray but it really doesn’t bother me so much. Maybe one day when I feel the urge I might have it done.
The monitor takes a minute or so to warm up and then has a nice decent but at the moment needs a good de-gause. As far as I can tell it is the original 29″ monitor that can bet set to 15Khz or 24Khz.
The power has been converted to run at UK 240V and in the process the de-gause circuit has been disconnected. My immediate solution will be to buy one of those de-gause wand thingies and see how that works 🙂 I’ll do some work to get the degause cirtcuit working later (assuming it can be sorted out).
The power might have been converted but the cable that is hard wired into the cab is a Japanse stylee plug, which leads me to believe this is Hong Kong or Chinese machine.
The control panel works just fine but again could do with a decent touch up. It’s a 2 player layout which means I am sat slightly to the left when playing one player which I prefer.
It’s a great cab and I love it, but it does need a decent amount of work to the shell if it is to become super minty fresh.
It has JAMMA wiring which makes a change from all the JVS cabs I have! So I shoved in my Neo Geo One Slot multi cart. You can’t beat a bit of metal Slug.
The sound isn’t as good as the more modern machines I have because there isn’t a bass subwoofer or anything to boost the bass or sound in general. I guess there is a decent mod I can install at some point, I’ll have to look it up.
